We’re proud of where we’ve come from and are inspired by our ancestors. Our story is born out of another and that story has always been told two ways: 

First, that Vera lured Olek up to her small apartment in Minsk with the intoxicating smell of homemade soup, a loving gesture of faith and peace at the end of a cold, long war. To hear Olek tell it, Vera came down to the streets and greeted him and his fellow survivors with gusto on that fateful day, bringing delicious, simply prepared nourishment and a soulful smile.

Either way, the above is true. 

Love, like good food, happens naturally, organically, and with a little heat.

Our name reflects the woman who inspired us. Like Vera, we believe the truth is always best and that bold moves change the future for the better. Above all else, we infuse love in all we do.
